Point Facebook and Instagram ads at a WhatsApp chat instead of a form, and let the conversation do the selling.
In April 2025 Arabian Automobiles Company, the Nissan dealer group in the UAE, changed how its Meta ads captured leads. Instead of sending people only to its website, the ads opened a WhatsApp chat with a WhatsApp Flow: the buyer shared their location, chose a Nissan model and their nearest dealership, and booked a test drive. Anyone who did not finish got a reminder 24 hours later, and the company connected its CRM to WhatsApp to measure the business impact.
Between 17 and 30 April 2025, against its usual approach, it reported twice the leads at a 56% lower cost per lead. An A/B test in Ads Manager, comparing ads with both WhatsApp and website destinations against single-destination ads, found a 4% lower cost per link click (WhatsApp Business success story). Meta's page adds: "Results are self-reported and not identifiably repeatable."
Car dealers, clinics, property, education, travel and service businesses selling a considered purchase, especially in markets where WhatsApp is the default messenger.
In the Gulf and much of the world, WhatsApp is where customers already talk, so a chat removes the step where most people abandon a form. A conversation also qualifies the lead: the buyer tells you the model, the budget and the timing before a salesperson calls.

Cost to test. Ad spend for a two-week A/B test, plus WhatsApp Business Platform message charges. Under $1,000 for a small test.
Kill it if after two weeks the cost per qualified lead is no better than your current lead ads.
A chat nobody answers is worse than a form, so staff it before you launch. WhatsApp business messaging is paid and has rules on templates and opt-in. It works best for considered purchases with a human sale at the end, not for cheap impulse buys.
